Judge Herbert Howard Shandley

    Judge Herbert Howard Shandley was born on Thursday, 10 May 1877 at Wallasey, Cheshire Co., England. He came from England to Victoria in 1896. He worked as a lawyer then as a judge. He and Elizabeth Mildred Watkins, daughter of Charles Richard Watkins and Mary Hannah McMillan, were married by Reverend T. E. Holling on Wednesday, 7 October 1908 at the home of the bride's mother, Cormorant Street, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Richard Lowe and Miss. Blanche Richards witnessed the marriage.
     Herbert died on Friday, 4 November 1955 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, at age 78 years, 5 months and 25 days of coronary thrombosis. Reginald Rains Wilde was listed as the informant. M.D. J. H. Moore was the attending physician. He was buried on Tuesday, 8 November 1955 in Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
